Pangani Coast

Pangani, situated about 50 km south of Tanga in the north-eastern corner of Tanzania, is rich with historical sites and structures which reflect the influence of Arabs, Germans, Indians and British in East Africa. Also to be enjoyed here are white beaches and splendid coral reefs which harbour a great diversity of tropical marine life. Saadani National Park, Tanzania’s only beach plus wildlife park, is in close proximity to Pangani.

Getting There:

Pangani can be reached via Muheza (42 km) or Tanga (47 km). There are several daily buses departing from Tanga to Pangani and take about 2 hours.
